We all enjoy cocktails, but more often than not they're created by other people - professionals at bars that juggle the ingredients. Having quickly surmised the layout of the book I felt ready for whatever ingredients or drinks my friends brought. Just a swift glance through the ebook and another custom daiquiri cocktail was served up.
As the evening progressed I confessed that I had acquired my astonishing skills thanks to a daiquiri recipe ebook, and showed them a few of the recipes. At that point I couldn't make any more cocktails, because everyone was flicking through the book choosing their own favourites to try out! Fortunately we now all have our copy of the ebook and are taking turns to host an evening of mixing!
But the story doesn't end there, because no matter how marvellous it was to get hold of a free daiquiri recipe and a whole ebook of popular daiquiri recipes, my reputation for hosting dazzling cocktail parties is now in serious jeopardy since everyone found out that I can't balance a cocktail mixer and a bottle of rum on my nose whilst pouring a drink.
