The Curtis Institute of Music is a conservatory of music found in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It has been heralded as one of the most selective establishment of the Earth second to Mayo school of drugs, based primarily on studies done by the US stories and World Report.
This prominent training ground for world-class performers was set up in 1924 by Mary Louise Curtis Bok. The school was named after his father, Cyrus Curtis. This world famous conservatory offers the following degrees : Bachelor of Music, Master of Music, pro Studies Certificate Studies in Opera. The bachelor and master degrees in Music are both intended for Yankee native speakers and non-native speakers. Precollege-aged applicants are also allowed to go through audition but they aren't permitted to take standardized tests which are structured for college-aged applicants.
Curtis Institute renders a large range of performances to demonstrate its highly professional musical abilities to the general public. A few of these excellent performances are the Curtis Symphony Orchestra, Alumni performance Series, Student performance Series, the Curtis Opera Theatre, PECO family concert series, and many others.
Each performance has laid the groundwork for musical geniuses to enter various musical organisations like the metropolitan Opera, where more than 60 alumni have sung. Distinguished alumni also come back for benefit performances on the Alumni performance Series. The profits of this event will support incoming Curtis musicians.
